Welcome to Autumn in Bayside!
Our next meeting is Tuesday, November 21st, 7:00 pm, in the Shelton Park Elementary School cafeteria (enter behind the school). Please see the attached map for parking.
The main event will be voting on the slate of nominees for president, 1st vice president, 2nd vice president, treasurer, secretary, and trustees. We have not had elections in a while due to the pandemic disrupting our meeting locations. Also, our liaison officer from the VBPD will give a quick brief on recent incidents in our neighborhood over the last few months (providing he doesn’t have to respond to any calls).
We’ll also ask for your ideas for programs and speakers. In the past we’ve had the Commonwealth’s Attorney discuss internet scams, a presentation on elder law issues (do you have a will AND revocable trust?), flood insurance, fire safety from the VBFD, VB Public Works, and many others.
If you paid your dues earlier this year, you will be covered for 2023-2024. If you want to pay at our meeting on the 21st, that will also cover you for 2023-2024. Remember, it’s only $10 a year per household.
