Welcome to Spring time in Lake Shores. As mentioned when we had to postpone the January meeting, our March meeting slipped a week to March 25th due to a scheduling conflict with Shelton Park Elementary School. But everything else remains the same—it’s 7pm this Tuesday in the cafeteria of the school. Please park in the rear and enter through the two glass doors.
And what better way to welcome spring than having our own neighborhood Master Gardener Charron “Val” Valleroli to discuss spring garden preparation and planting. Bring your questions and she’ll try to answer them. And if you haven’t heard, the 2025 Virginia Master Gardener’s 2025 Spring Plant Sale will be May 3&4 at the Virginia Tech Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center. Val will be able to fill in more details.
And if you’ve wondered what the deal is with the heavy equipment and wood shoring stacking up on the north side of Northampton, our own Dave Gresens will supply details. Spoiler alert—they’re not expanding Northampton or building houses. We’ll also have the 411 from our Neighborhood Watch rep Rick on all the goings on in the neighborhood.
All this and we will have our elections for officers and trustees. Remember, you have to be up to date with your 2024-2025 yearly dues to vote. It’s only $10 per household and our treasurer will be happy to take your money.
Please park in the rear of the school and access the cafeteria through the double glass doors. For more info, please go to https://lakeshores.org/.
