It’s spring and your Civic League is returning to life!

Lake Shores Neighbors,

It’s spring and your Civic League is returning to life!

Our next meeting is March 21st, 7:00 pm, Shelton Park Elementary School cafeteria (enter behind the school).  No social prior to the meeting.

If you pay dues in March/May you will be covered for this year and next.  You can mail your dues, check made out to Lake Shores Civic League, to Treasurer, 1683 Meredith Rd., Virginia Beach, VA, 23455, or pay them at the meeting.

We are taking nominations for elections.  Many of you have asked how you can get involved, particularly as it pertains to cut-through traffic, speeding, etc.  Now is the time for you to help your neighborhood.  Every office except one Trustee is open for election.  If you are interested in running for President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, Treasurer, Secretary, or one of the 2 Trustee positions, please contact Dave Gresens (2nd VP) via NextDoor or at dhgresens@gmail.

At the meeting we will discuss the upcoming gate closures at JEBLCFS and their potential impact on Lake Shores;  receive an update from our VAPD liaison; and ee will also provide an update on the revitalization of the Virginia Beach Council of Civic Organizations (VBCCO).

If you cannot make the meeting but are interesting in running for an office, let Dave know.  The election will take place at the May meeting.  Only those who’s dues are current can vote. Hope to see everyone on the 21st!
