UPDATE: DUE TO A SCHEDULING CONFLICT WITH SHELTON PARK ELEMENTARY, WE WILL PUSH THE CIVIC LEAGUE MEETING BACK ONE WEEK TO THE 25TH! PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR CIVIC LEAGUE AND MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND!
Hopefully everyone is prepared for the tropical storm effects of hurricane Florence. It should be past us by Tuesday and in time for the first civic league meeting for the fall. We have been working to have a representative (again) from Dominion Energy come to speak, but (again) they have been unable to provide us someone to address what we know are many questions about our electrical grid in Lake Shores. Since we are moving the meeting to the 25th, we’ll check to see if they can accommodate the new date. If not, we will keep trying for future meetings, and hope everyone can come Tuesday and let us know how they made out during the storm, and anything of concern from over the summer.
The good news is WE’RE BACK IN SHELTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL for our meetings! We’ll meet in the cafeteria as we used to, but new procedures are we will enter through the FRONT door, not the back door as we used to. Parking is in front.
So, again, we’ll meet at SHELTON PARK ELEMENTARY school—social time begins at 7pm and the meeting will kick off at 7:30pm.
